San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) December 29, 2011

Cobblestone Gallery owner says, “It’s easy when you just decide to give to both of your favorite charities and that is exactly what we do, all year long.” Cobblestone came out previously with their support of the ASPCA, so Mr. Flores was asked, why Children International too?

David Flores says, “Sponsoring this charity is not new to us, we have individually sponsored 2 children for almost 3 years. Watching them grow and knowing you have helped in shaping their young lives is especially rewarding. What is pocket change for many Americans can be the difference in having food to eat or vital medicine for one of these kids. Children International is close to our hearts.”

Cobblestone Gallery uses its resources in order to give back to charities that are near and dear with the ultimate goal to help those that are in need. Cobblestone Gallery has donated time, money and products in support of the ASPCA and Children International. Each month Cobblestone sponsors a “charity pick” where 100% of the item purchase goes directly to the charity (nothing is deducted for costs or profit). It’s an obligation Cobblestone Gallery feels everyone on this planet needs to do for others – whatever they can – no matter how little or how much.

When David was asked how does he make the the difficult decision on where Cobblestone Gallery donates its time or money? David said with exuberance, “When you are having trouble deciding, just give from your heart, no matter where you choose to give, it will be the right thing to do.”

San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) December 11, 2011

Owner of Cobblestone Gallery, David Flores says, “Buying anything online can be challenging. It can be even more of a challenge when antiques and collectibles or premium jewelry are concerned.

“Often an online buyer is unsure of the quality of the item or its authenticity,” said Flores. “We are a PayPal preferred site and using PayPal makes incredible sense. Buyers can feel confident that they are dealing with a trustworthy merchant, since their qualified purchase is backed by ‘PayPal Buyer Protection.’”

Flores further adds that their site is encrypted using state of the art technology to protect their customers from identity theft while ordering on the Cobblestone Gallery website.

Practicing a safe online experience from Cobblestone Gallery: The best way to prevent being a victim of online fraud is by using common sense. If an offer sounds too good to be true, generally it is. Also, be cautious of providing any personal identification data online. Legitimate companies will not randomly ask for information from clients. If you have a doubt about an e-mail you received from a company, give them a call to confirm that it is legitimate. And, if you are transmitting personal information online, make sure that it is a secure connection. These are simple tips, but they will help keep your personal financial information safe and secure.

Cobblestone Gallery owner David Flores says, “We all can give in our own way, either large or small, to help those less fortunate than ourselves. Especially in these rough economic times we live in more than ever animals are suffering and need a voice asking for help!”

Cobblestone Gallery plans to do just that. Flores says, “No effort is too small. The point is to make the effort.” Every month Cobblestone Gallery will publish an item for sale on their website and when purchased, 100% of the purchase price will be donated to charity.

The ASPCA, a nation-wide not-for-profit organization, is the oldest humane society in North America and is still one of the largest. The ASPCA’s mission as an animal charity is to prevent animal cruelty and they also have community outreach and adoption programs, and provide animal health services. The ASPCA also offers grants to animal welfare organizations and agencies across the country to aid them in their individual efforts.

Flores mentions, “Customers can share their stories of animals being helped using the ‘Contact Us’ tab on the Cobblestone Gallery website to be featured on the company blog page.”

New Antiques and Collectibles Website Has A Lot to Offer Collectors

San Fransisco Cobblestone Gallery Announces Its New Website

Cobblestone Gallery carries art, antiques, collectibles, and jewelry from all over the world. From the more rare and expensive, such as jade figurines from Burma or an 18th century Chinese double dragon tapestry, to the less expensive, such as babushka dolls from Russia, or Tibetan incense burners, Cobblestone has something for everyone.

San Francisco, CA October 28, 2011

Cobblestone Gallery has been a private supplier of antiques and collectibles since 2009 for a small, exclusive client base. Over the last two years Cobblestone Gallery has been growing and decided a new website was the next step.

“We have been asked more and more about handling small sales for individuals wanting to sell small collections,” said Owner David Flores. “Now, through our website, we can handle select items on consignment.” Flores highlights, “The people that consign with us are interested in finding a “home” for their personal belongings – not the fast buck. So we have time on our side to find the right buyer. It’s a very different market we work with here.” You can see this has a very direct relation to Cobblestone’s own mentor.

Flores wants to offer an alternative to EBay by allowing collectors to sell items through his site. Flores wants to keep the feel of shopping in a local antique store, while still reaching collectors and enthusiasts around the world through his site. “It’s more for Boutique consignments and not a mass produced outlet,” Flores adds.

Through the e-commerce store, visitors will be able to purchase items from Cobblestone’s own collection as well consignment items. Since they will handle the consignments personally, you are purchasing only in one place vs. dealing with various dealers. “You get the assurance your shipments will arrive and we back anything we sell. It’s a comfort thing,” says Flores.

New Cobblestone Gallery Antiques Website Gets Inspiration from 91 Year Old Mentor

Launching of Cobblestone Gallery’s new website gets old again. Just when people begin to think that at 91 years of age should be a time to sit back and relax and certainly not work – this 91 year old woman helped to inspire a new generation in antiquing.

Our Inspiration & Mentor

My mom decorated with lots of antiques. I never liked it when I was a little girl – I wanted to live in a modern house. But now I love it.

San Francisco, CA October 26, 2011

Cobblestone Gallery brings a new age to a timeless past with the creation of a new website inspired by the passion from its 91 year old mentor.

Think selling antiques and maybe not too much of a stretch that a woman of 91 would be in her element. But when you think of someone 30 years old, normally the antique business is not your first go to response.

Owner David Flores says, “It all started with an intense friendship with a wonderful woman named Felicia. She began her love affair with antique collecting when coming to this country shortly after surviving the camps of Russia during WWII. She was 29 at the time. Over the many years to follow, she just found herself naturally drawn to antiquing. Like a moth drawn to a flame, she was off and flying high. Not speaking a word of English and having a husband and three small children, she took any spare moment to self-educate and read anything and everything she could get her hands on having to do with antiques. All the while she would scrap and save literally any extra penny for that ‘special find’ when the time came.”

Flores continues, “You can certainly see a pattern coming, there came and went hundreds of special finds which accumulated to no less of her own small museum of collectibles over the next 60 years. Although her dream was to someday open a small antique shop, it never materialized.”

Quickly David recalls, “You’re probably asking what this has to do with 91 and a new generation. I’m getting to that.”

Flores remembers the story his dear friend Felicia tells, “During her generation, this time is when San Francisco (as well as countless other places) was frequented by many collectors due to its large abundance of antique stores.” Felicia remarked, “Even the well-known stores like Gump’s was a place that catered to many of the finest antiques drawing celebrities and royalty from around the world.”

To her sadness this era seemed to come to an end. Felicia recounts, “Times have changed and younger people don’t seem to be drawn to this style like before.”

“I finally reach the point to my story”, as Flores is quick to admit might seem long winded. “Cobblestone Gallery was created out of a love for our very dear friend Felicia. She is more than a friend really, more like a surrogate mother and definite mentor. She is an amazing 91 years young and hooked me and my partner on the same love of antique collecting she has shared for over 60 years. She still goes out with us on treks (when she can) in finding the very best of Antiques, Art, Collectibles and Jewelry. We try to bring customers a large variety of items and pricing to accommodate most any buyer or collector.”

So you see, says David, “At 91, she is still working strong and at 30, I start this new venture in antiquing. What seems like a natural bridge from one generation to another – David insists, “You’re never too young or too “old” to start something new or make an old passion into a reality.”

With a chuckle, he adds, “Next time you have the pleasure of meeting someone 91 years of age, spend a little extra time listening and you might find a new adventure yourself.”
